The Middle East Investor Relations Association (MEIRA) Annual Conference and Awards is the largest IR event in MENA.
This benchmark event brings together participants from locally listed firms, international corporates, investors, research analysts and advisors, as well as representatives of the region's Regulatory bodies. The aim of the Conference is to provide delegates with a networking platform and to encourage dialogue around market challenges and best practice, while educating participants and stakeholders on the importance of Investor Relations, transparency and corporate governance.

Paolo Casamassima is the Chief Executive Officer of the Middle East Investor Relations Association (MEIRA), the Middle East’s only professional body specifically designed for IR practitioners, a platform dedicated to promoting the Investor Relations profession and international standards in Corporate Governance. He was appointed in December 2023.
Paolo has over 16 years’ experience in Investor Relations advising publicly listed companies globally on different areas of their IR journey and supporting the implementation of IR Best Practices. Formerly Head of Global Market Intelligence at Orient Capital, Paolo started his Investor Relations Advisory career in Ipreo (now S&P Global). Khalifa has more than 20 years of capital markets experience and possesses a wide range of expertise from business development and corporate planning to strategy and operations.
Preceding his appointment as CEO, Sh. Khalifa served as Deputy Director for Central Securities Depository (CSD) and Information Technology, and subsequently Chief Operating Officer, prior to handling the role of Chief Executive Officer. Abdalla Al Nuaimi

As GCEO, Mr. Alnuaimi drives the exchange’s growth and strategic direction as a leading multi-asset exchange and a thriving investment platform that is committed to supporting economic diversification in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and contributing to the economic development and prosperity in the UAE.
With a career in capital markets and financial services that spans over 25 years, Mr. Alnuaimi has spearheaded numerous transformational initiatives that position ADX at the forefront as a leading trading hub and global investment platform including the successful establishment of the ADX derivatives trading platform with central counterparty clearing capabilities in 2022 and the Tabadul Hub. His Excellency Mahmood Al-Aweini presently serves as the Secretary-General of the Ministry of Finance and supervises the National Program for Fiscal Sustainability and Financial Sector Development (Estidamah). Previously, he held the position of The Program Director with a mission to lead initiatives supporting Oman Vision 2040 direction to upgrade of the financial sector in toward effective contributions to the economy of the sultanate.
Before his role in Estidamah program, His Excellency Mahmood Al-Aweini contributed to the National Program for Investment & Export Development (Nazdaher). His professional background includes various senior positions at local and international organizations, such as the energy giant BP, where he served in several leadership roles and lastly as a contracts and procurement advisor for the Middle East. Before that, he was the General Manager for Rawsi Oman Investment, which was a regional investment fund, specialized in green field projects and private equity. Notably, he also played a pivotal role in the establishment of Hutchison Ports Sohar and served as the head of the revenue and billing team. His career commenced as the head of the Trading and Supervision Department at the Muscat Stock Exchange.
With over than 20 years of practical experience, Al-Aweini has demonstrated proficiency in strategic institutional building and leadership. His expertise spans investment, business development, negotiation, and financial sector management. He has garnered notable achievements in the oil and gas sectors, logistics, and financial markets. Al-Aweini holds a Bachelor's degree in Finance with honors and a Master's degree in Business Administration.

Andreas spent 6 years at IHS Markit and S&P Global, which acquired IHS Markit in 2021 in a $44bn transaction, where he built and led the M&A,corporate governance and ESG-advisory team globally. Prior to that, Andreas spent more than 10 years at Ipreo, a leading capital markets and IR-advisory firm, where he led the company’s corporate business in D/A/CH and CEEMEA, building the market leading position with a team of +30 focused on investor intelligence, ownership and a specialty focus on corporate governance, shareholder activism and public M&A transactions.

Rana Abu Elgassim

Rana is Head of Global Investor Access for HSBC in MENAT based in Dubai. She has more than 15 years’ experience in the field working previously in BoAML in Saudi Arabia prior to moving to Dubai with HSBC. Rana started her career in the United Nations working on several projects in the Arab states. Following that, Rana worked as corporate access officer at BoAML in Riyadh and was the first Corporate Access officer based in Saudi. Rana took the lead on delivering key Saudi and MENAT conference for both BoAML and HSBC in Riyadh, Dubai, Istanbul, HK, Singapore, London and NYC. Dr. Mohab Ali Al-Hinai is Vice President – Sustainability and Circular Economy at Oman Environmental Services Holding Company (be’ah) and Co-Founder of Sustainable Investments LLC. He serves on the boards of ITHCA Group and the Royal Academy of Management Alumni Board, and previously on the Oman American Business Center board.

Mohammad Al Naabi

Mohammed Al Naabi is an Issuances Analyst at the Financial Services Authority, where he has served for over three years. In this role, he has been instrumental in advancing regulatory reforms and contributing to the Green and Sustainable Finance agenda.
As part of this team, Mohammed played a key role in shaping the revised regulatory framework for bonds and sukuk, which notably included a dedicated section on green bonds and sukuk. David Haglund has extensive expertise in finance, accounting, strategy, and ESG, underpinned by deep experience in corporate governance and sustainability. His work spans in-depth analysis, valuation, and corporate strategy across multiple industries and geographies.
Previously, David spent nearly two decades at Franklin Templeton Investments as Senior Executive Director and fund manager, managing institutional mandates for regional and international sovereign wealth funds within institutional asset management, integrating ESG and fundamental research into investment decision and portfolio construction.

Oskar established the partnership after nine years at VMA Group where as a board director and managing director of VMA International he helped build a global network and established its executive search and investor relations practice.

Prior to that, she managed ESG and IR functions as a Director at VK, one of the largest Internet companies in Russia, where she ranked as the best IR professional in the country.
Tatiana started her career as a Russia real estate Research Analyst at Merrill Lynch in 2007 and later Small Cap sales and generalist Russia/CIS sales at Bank of America Merrill Lynch. In 2011 she was a Vice President in charge of Russia/CIS equity sales efforts for Morgan Stanley.
Tatiana graduated from Kenyon College in Gambier, Ohio (USA) with a B.A. degree in Economics, with Honors, and Mathematics.
Thuraya Al Balushi

Thuraiya is a highly experienced professional with 19 years of working experience in various sectors and a sound educational background. With a positive attitude and strong interpersonal skills, she has consistently fostered healthy and vibrant work environments, ensuring a strong commitment to deliverables and expectations. She has direct exposure to markets and finance.
Her career highlights include her current role as Sr.Manager - Economic Diversification Investment at Oman Investment Authority, where she oversees local investments and the development and progress in the Divestment programs set and approved by OIA. She is responsible for the overall asset management of the Divestment programs, closely monitoring operations and progress while setting strategic directions and key performance indicators.
